Stranded Colorwork Basics: Frame Your Face Cowl

Join us and go beyond the basics of Knitting and start your first (or first-in-awhile) stranded colorwork project! Maybe you’ve tinkered with colorwork or been admiring these dynamic designs from afar; this class will take you through the how-to’s of stranded colorwork while you work alongside your classmates on Andrea Mowry’s Frame Your Face Cowl. This cowl is so fun to knit and so easy to wear. You can knit it up in either Worsted or Sport weight yarn (love a flexible pattern!) and then just pull it over your head to stay cozy with effortless style. It is knit in a tube in the round, twisted a half turn, and then seamed together using the Mattress stitch method. You will use (and learn) the long tail cast-on, charted stranded colorwork, knitting in the round, and seaming with the mattress stitch.

Skills + Materials
This is a intermediate knitting workshop. Students should have basic knitting skills (cast-on, knit, purl, bind-off). Experience with knitting in the round is a plus but not required. This is a project-based workshop and the workshop supplies are not included in the fee; students will get detail on what you need to participate as well as yarn recommendations in your registration confirmation email and you can preview those supplies here to help decide if this is the right class for you (we think it is;)!

Cancellation + Make-up Policy
We absolutely understand that things come up and you may need to cancel your registration. You may always transfer your registration to another student (just let us know in advance!). If you need to cancel your registration within one week of the workshop we are happy to offer a 50% store credit refund; cancellations made less than one week in advance will not be refunded. We are unable to offer make-ups or exchanges for missed workshop session(s).

Student Discount
Students get a one-time 10% student discount that is active at the first workshop session and expires two weeks following the final workshop session. You will receive your discount code at the first first session.
