Abelia grandiflora ‘Margarita’

Margarita Abelia. This is a new golden variegated Abelia from Clark’s Liner Farm in North Carolina. Its leaves have bright golden yellow margins with red stems. The flowers are the typical white tubular which are characteristic of the species. Grow it in full sun for the most tidy plants as shade will create a loose airy plant. Another great characteristic about this cultivar is that it is not prone to send up wild shoots. I saw a picture of a 12 year old plant and it was about 18-24″ tall with a 4′ spread.
