Nettle Leaf (Urtica dioica) – Nettle Leaf is very effective in controlling uric acid levels which helps regulate edema and gout. Nettle leaf tea may help to normalize inflammatory arthritis pain. It is also a diuretic, which lowers hypertension and edema. It boosts the functioning of the kidney by controlling creatinine levels. Creatinine is the waste or toxin present in blood or urine. Nettle herb has been used curatively to treat pain in joints and kidney problems, enlarged prostate, high fever, and UTIs since ancient times.

Dandelion Root (Taraxacum officinale) – Dandelion acts like a diuretic so it may increase urination removing excess uric acid from the bloodstream. In addition, it may help the kidneys clear out waste, salts and excess water. Dandelion root may also help some people actually avoid surgery for painful kidney stone When suffering during and after a gout attack, dandelion may help reduce inflammation relieving pain and swelling since it contains essential fatty acids and phytonutrients. It is also a Kidney tonic, which dramatically supports the Liver as well. Harmonizing kidney and liver function is an excellent way to ensure that once healed the Kidneys don’t easily slip back into poor health.

Marshmallow Leaf (Althaea officinalis) – Marshmallow’s soothing properties can come in handy when you have a UTI. This herb acts as a natural diuretic, helping to keep fluid moving through your system properly. Yarrow Flower (Achillea millefolium) – Yarrows’ anti-inflammatory properties help to reduce joint inflammation and alleviate pain associated with arthritis and gout. Yarrow is a good blood cleanser, helping to clean the blood of uric acid, thereby removing the cause of gout. Yarrow contains flavonoids, plant-based chemicals that increase saliva and stomach acid to help improve digestion.
