The Piece: Handmade Bezel Set Belt Buckle

• .925 sterling silver, solid (including findings)
• height: 61.14mm (2.4″)
• width: 89.4mm (3.5″)
• thickness: 1.79mm
• weight: 81.44 grams
• etched in the back “Ryzz” for unknown artist’s name
• etched in the back with what we assume to be an unknown serial number- this can be seen in the right light better in person than in photos, but it is still hard to read.  See photo with red circle for more details
• likely vintage, though there are no firm indicators of age

Additional Notes: There appears to be a barely visible stamp above the red circle.  The font and visible word length seem to resemble an old “MEXICO” stamp.  A serial number would support this theory, representing a vendor’s booth number in the country.  It is possible that this piece could have been made in Mexico, somehow altered by “Ryzz” (perhaps by adding the stone), then “Ryzz” tried removing the Mexico stamps to claim credit for creating the whole piece.  This is purely our own speculation, and, if true, should in no way discredit the piece’s beauty, craftsmanship, or history.
