Note – board are pre-flashed with USB Firmware, so you may have to re-flash yourself to suit your installation if you wish to use in CAN mode, instructions on how to do this are available at cartographer3d documentation site https://docs.cartographer3d.com

What is new? 

Cartographer V4 not only introduces a new All in One Design, but improved thermal and electrical reliability.

* Although most components are rated up to 125C, we do not recommend going above 110C ambient temperature. 

** Please note, Cartographer design is slightly different to Cartographer competitor’s H variety, please check the CAD. V4 is compatible with a majority of Cartographer V3 mounts. 

This latest version allows for you to switch between using either CAN or USB via Firmware, no need to re-solder anything.

Cartographer and CAN

CAN provides easy and simple wiring, no need to run multiple wires from your MCU, or use one of your limited number of USB ports, just tap into your Toolheads CAN ouput, and enjoy a seemless setup. 

It is recommended to run your CAN network at a baudrate of 1,000,000. 

Input Shaping (adxl345)

The probes proximity to your printers nozzle, the adxl345 provides a higher level of accuracy when running input shaper than motor mounted alternatives. 

Specification:

• MCU: stm32g431
• Connectivity: CAN & USB via 4 pin Genuine Molex Sherlock connector.
• Firmware Requirement: Klipper
• Temperature Rating: It is recommended to operate Cartographer v4 in no higher than 110C, many components are rated higher than that. 

The only component not rated for high temperature is the ADXL345, this was a choice to keep the price down, we have observed no issues running ADXL345 at higher temperatures, though we don’t recommend relying on it for input shaping after prolonged use over 85.

Which version should I buy? 

• Standard Edition – Ideal for Voron StealthBurner, Annex etc 
• Low Profile Edition – Perfect for VzBot and RatRig Printer

Currently Cartographer do not support delta printers.
