The Control Tower MAX, in collaboration with Black Market Glass, features an internal surface modification. The rifling of the inner diameter changes the experience in the following ways: 

• Allows liquid within the barrel to more efficiently wet the surface.
  
• Helps fight “wall pooling” and forces a more even distribution. 
  
• Creates a friction which allows the pillar to more easily climb; this gives the user more precise control over the pillar’s location. 
  
• Produces vapor at lower temperatures than on models without it.
